That 'Get Me Out of This House' Feeling

As Arizonans are getting vaccinated and finally out of the house, there are many great opportunities to experience our great city. Whether you're a music and art lover, sports fan, or simply outdoorsy, there are some great ways to satisfy that get-me-out-of-this-house felling.

The Diamondbacks are in full swing with many great tickets under $50. They're playing the Miami Marlins this week and sports predictions show the Diamondbacks taking the game. Next week, they play the Washington Nationals, which most experts expect to be a Nationals win. Luckily, the Diamondbacks have surprised those experts before.

For our music lovers, we have two great tribute concerts. Chateau Luxe is bringing you A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald in a beautiful candlelit open air concert. You can purchase tickets on their website for either May 13th or 14th with shows at 7pm and 9pm. You can also check out My Way: A Tribute to Frank Sinatra presented by The Phoenix Theatre Company. The show runs May 10th through May 23rd and will be set on their outdoor stage where they've created a nightclub setting perfect for the songs of Ol' Blue Eyes. For the 80s music fans, head to the Marquee Theater in Tempe for Strangelove: A Depeche Mode Experience. This concert will be held one night only on May 14th. Mall bangs and bangle bracelets optional.

For the lovers of visual art, American artist Hallie Hart is Exhibiting her US Flag Art collection entitled "Unity," and will be painting live as part of the exhibition. The Kimpton Palomar Hotel in downtown Phoenix has the pleasure of housing this event. Ms. Hart is a global artist currently on an American tour which is being filmed by a documentary film crew.

Looking for something more lively? The Arizona Black Rodeo is in town and boasts rodeo favorites from across the country. Two shows with everything from bull riding to ladies barrel racing will be held on May 15th at Westworld. Tickets are $18 in advance and $22 at the door, kids under 3 years old are free!

Some of us need a little push to get out and about. Maybe a good challenge will help get us motivated! The 'A' Mountain Challenge is a hike/run/walk event being held over a 2-month stretch. You can register online and track your challenge to win prizes from local merchants. Grab a friend and register together so you can catch up on some socialization while you get some exercise.

For those ready to party? Scottsdale's Sippin' Series is a cocktail event that focuses on

one liquor family per event. May 15th is all about Tequila and Mezcal. Tickets range from $40-$70 with tastings and light appetizers included.

With so many events opening up, you're sure to find something fun to do.
